$5000 for being good at videogames isn't too shabby.

The winner of this year's Game & Game World Championship (GNGWC) will be getting his hands on a good chunk of cash, but even winning just the Silkroad Online portion can put some real money in your pockets, apparently.

Two U.S. players, including last year’s champion, battled their way through the North American qualifying round in October. For their efforts, they will travel to Korea at Joymax’s expense to compete in the global finals, along with finalists from Germany, Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan and Japan. In addition to the adrenaline-filled competition, the finalists will be treated to tours of Seoul, fine dining, and cocktails with Silkroad Online staff and Game Masters. At the conclusion of the final round, the top player will head home with $5,000 US, with second and third place receiving $3,000 US and $1,000 US, respectively.
