Free-to-play shooter Tribes: Ascend is looking to provide players with a new option to unlock content and sever a few greenbacks from their wallets. The shooter's free-to-play model allows players to unlock the game’s classes, perks, and weapons by playing and earning in-game currency to do so or through a simple microtransaction. But now Hi-Rez Studios is introducing a new choice for players that want it all with just a single purchase.

Hi-Rez Studios COO Todd Harris discussed the new option on the official Tribed: Ascend forums, where he announced plans to launch a new single purchase option on Friday, February 15th if all goes as planned. Pricing will come closer to release but Harris explained that players can expect it to be "in the ballpark of other PC multiplayer shooters."
