Good news WildStar fans. Carbine Studios Executive Producer Jeremy "Gaffer" Gaffney has posted his latest State of the Game update for WildStar, and it’s filled with some juicy tidbits that fans may find interesting.

The update discusses much of Carbine’s approach and philosophy of design for WildStar’s content such as challenging the players with more than fetch and kill quests by mixing things up with low-gravity environments, enemies blasting the ground you’re walking on and enemy dropships sending in troops just to name a few. But Gaffney also touches on plans for elder game content and solon play as well.

The more notable bit comes near the end, where Gaffney explains that WildStar’s development schedule will hit its ready mark for launch sometime this year.

We've always been focused on launching WildStar when it's ready, but we think that time's approaching fast. And so today, I'm very freakin' excited to share with you that our schedules are pointing towards WildStar hitting “It’s Ready” this year: 2013. We meant it when we said that this was going to be The Year of WildStar, and that begins right now.

Gaffney also posted three new WildStar videos for fans to enjoy. Check them out in this week’s WildStar Wednesday.
