A Wisconsin Senator wants to add a tax to videogames which would go towards a juvenile offender program. Don't assume this just applies to Wisconsin, either-- these types of laws, when successful, tend to spread to other States.

The idea makes sense, but State Senator Jon Erpenbachs plan to fund rehabilitation programs for those found delinquent is controversial.
As reported by the Wisconsin Radio Network, Erpenbach, a Democrat, wants to add a special one-percent sales tax for video games and game consoles. The surcharge would be in addition to Wisconsins current five-percent sales tax.
