A few days ago, the folks at Xfire hosted a dev chat between a number of media professionals and game developers with the focus locked squarely on the struggle of P2P versus F2P gaming. In attendance were developers from CCP, Turbine, YNK, and Game-Masters, and, believe it or not, they actually asked Ten Ton Hammer's executive editor, Cody Bye, to give his own opinions on F2P versus P2P gaming. It was a fun experience for everyone, and now Xfire has released the official transcript of the event.

BloodyMess (colafran): Which model is better suited to last the test of time in gaming trends?

[TTH] Cody Bye (codybye): Both.

[YNK] Fred White (wi1dcard2): We will see :)

[CCP] Arend (ccpwhisper): Now there's the million dollar question.

[GM]LucoWB (lucowb): Arend: Ask yourself that same question by the end of this year, please :P

[Turbine] Adam Mersky (mersk): I don't think that model exists yet

RandyPrice (kuma222): Tough one

BloodyMess (colafran): Cody is right, players want choice in the end.
