Test Patch: Deployment 8

A new full blown patch has come to the Test Server for Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa. NCsoft has changed the patch terminology from the old 1.x.x format, to the more military-like Deployment naming system. Female avatars have gained more curves with the revamp of the Bio and Mech armors, construction on the Arena has been completed and players have a chance to earn Prestige. It seems the Target Lock mechanic has been improved as well.

...we have put in a Target Reacquisition system. The targeting system will remember the last hostile and friendly target you've tab locked onto. Then when you switch to a direct targeted weapon or ability it will automatically reacquire the appropriate remembered hostile or friendly target.

Dont see any nerfs there, that means its going the right way. I very interested in seeing how crab mines work. The few times they did work they vere quite powerfull and now that they benefit from mind you can actually do something with em... Nice.

I never actually saw any particular use for armor rechargers, if they re-activated your downed armor they would really come handy for those who dont have tools and rely on heavy armor such as Grav. Its funny as Soldiers use almost no reagents and...

You know what sticks out as huge for me? A repeatable mission in an instance. This is a big plus, and needs to trickle out to all instances.

Well done. Lots of good stuff to see in those patch notes. Still looking for a "Level Buffer added to Test Server" addition sometime

yeah overall I am "verY" happy with the notes.. the only things that would make it go sour is

1) prestige turns out to be very unbalanced and promotes high levels ganking low level CP's

2) nothing else lol!! I feel that prestige system is vital to the survival of TR...

I'm glad you guys are happy. but I'm still turned off to TR since they nerfed my Turrets and my level 50 engineer into retirement. the Agro system is out of whacked for Solo play and i don't feel that i should be forced to group to do Regular missions. Maybe instances or Cp's but not normal missions. if they wanted grouping they should have done it from the start.

agro system has been fixed already. Stuff is wayyy to easy again IMO. CP's still have that ganking feel by the bane but this is to be expected. Before they were to easy to hold. Now there is some challenge.

Hopefully they do address the engineer , while they are "balanced" now. Their ability to actually solo has been removed. Tweaking around with them you have to gimp yourself so much to actually end up managing. Turrets were the only skill you have that helps. ...
