Official Poll: Name the Server (Phase 2)
Funcom rolled out a new set of polls this week for players to vote for their preferred server name types. You can vote on them all on the official forums and the threads for each vote are as follows...
- = US = PvE Servernames (Gods)
- = EUROPE = PvE Servernames (Gods)
- = US = RP-PvP Servernames (Countries)
- = EUROPE = RP-PvP Servernames (Countries)
- = US = PvP Servernames (Named Weapons)
- = EUROPE = PvP Servernames (Named Weapons)
Sorry RP-PvE server advocates. It doesn't look as though Funcom has moved in the direction of most other games as of yet. But you can enjoy more flaming and troll bait posts on the subject like this one and this one. Just a heads up to you two OP's. You may not have noticed this and it may come as a shock, but you aren't the only one playing the game. ~gasp~
Friday Update: Preliminary Roleplaying Server Rules
Last week the preliminary roleplaying rule-set was released and it has been a heavily discussed topic since. If you are a roleplayer you can toss in your two copper in this thread, but whether or not the option will be made available on a PvE server is of yet to be seen. However the rule-set looks good in the early goings.
Epic ending to the Age of Conan Open Beta
the open beta testers will be going out with a bang as Funcom changes the rule-set over to free for all PvP. If you are participating in the open beta, dust off your blade, and get ready for battle. This week's comic has generated a good bit of Haha from all of you people who joined JoBildo in having a laugh at ol' Tuk's expense (again). The comic centers around some of Martuk's misfortune about an earlier decision that he reflects on in Flashback. It has generated some light hearted discussion and comical reviews. RP-PvP and RP-PvE: Why All the Hate?
With launch approaching and the initial set of server names being voted on, the RP_PvE advocates are still voicing their desire to have a RP_PvE server. Will Funcom have this server? No one really knows, but if you are hoping to see it, you can add your voice here and vote in the poll.

New Feature - Ask the Devs
You have questions and we have answers. With the cooperation of Funcom and developer Jason "Athelan" Stone Ten Ton Hammer has arranged a nice new venue for players to ask their questions for developers at Funcom about Age of Conan. This week Jason "Athelan" Stone has been very busy answering many questions. You can read and discuss them in our answered questions forum here. Have a question you would like to ask? You can do so here. Just be sure to read the guidelines first as the questions will be moderated to keep out things that have already been answered elsewhere and silly questions to make it easy for Athelan to answer things as quickly as possible without unnecessary clutter. However if you have a good question, by all means post it and we will try our best to get it answered.
