Believe it or not, while you may not be close to hardcore you're better than a good deal of players. A lot of players stop their personal progression once they hit 70 utilizing the green items from quests or just going straight to PvP gear. Many players have never set foot into any of the exciting instances contained within Outland.

I guess I feel "special" since I have three 70's and my shadow priest has some CoT and Kara gear while my fire mage has done a number of the Outland instances, including MgT and has a mix of Gladiator, Spellstrike and Spellfire gear. I have almost cleared Kara (Nethersprite was a wipe) so I have seen more than I expected to see, actually. I do hope to see the Black Temple some day.

The biggest difference between me and the article's definition of hardcore is, of course, the gears. My level 70 Hunter is still decked out in mostly greens and a couple of blues, and not working for gear progression at the moment. Thinking of myself as a casual player, I tend not to go into instances to get better gears unless I'm invited and have the time for it. As long as the ...
