When you return to Rhiderch he will finish forming the broken Phoenix Medallion. With the medallion whole again Rhiderch will tell you he can hear the screams of the god within and all is not well. He will then restore your remaining memory and bestow you with another boost to your chosen statistic.

Once done, Rhiderch will tell you to free yourself completely of the Mark of Acheron you must perform a ritual with the Phoenix Medallion. This will awaken the Atlantean god within. You will hold within the medallion one of two gods now on Hyboria. the other, the Grim Grey God, is within the clutches of Thoth Amon. Should he take form in Hyboria bad things will happen. Think apocalyptic chaos.

Rhiderch will also tell you of the substance the Phoenix Medallion was forged from. When Crom battled Ymir he reached into the sky and pulled from it a rock made of Starmetal and hurled it at Ymir. From that the medallion was forged. The Atlanteans used this metal that was touched by divinity to house their god within for the day they knew would come when the Grim Grey God would once again rise. In the medallion is the only hope for defeating him.

Rhiderch will tell you to take the medallion to Crom's Rock in Lacheish Plains. Reunite the medallion with the rock to free the Atlantean god, and yourself from the mark. Lacheish Plains can be reached through the Field of the Dead at coordinates 99, 204. Crom's Rock can be found in the center of Lacheish Plains at coordinates 1218, 1257. You can find the entrance by the distinctive green glow. If you are successful and survive the gods awakening, King Conan has requested an audience with you. Don't disappoint him by having the landscape fertilized with your backside.

Once you enter Crom's Rock make your way to coordinates 1059, 1273. Approach Crom's Rock and click it to perform the ritual. You will be treated to a great cut scene here. As you perform the ritual the Mark of Acheron will be banished from your body, but with it goes your immortality. Weakened by the removal of the mark you will fall to your knees unable to stand. At this moment the sorcerer Thoth Amon will appear (How brave of him). He will make the typical bad guy speech about you being a thorn in his side and laugh at you for being mortal again. While you are weak and unable to move the coward will walk up and stab you in the eye killing you dead. With your immortality gone you will fall to your death as the wizard walks off laughing in your head. The End... or is it?

You were successful in your ritual and thus awoke the Atlantean god. His voice will echo in the darkness of your dying mind reviving you. The Atlantean god will tell you of his tale and of the tale of his people, but he is dying. His power is fading and with his last act he grants you immortality in the hopes that you can use it to deal with the Grim Grey God. His last act will grant you the same powers the Mark of Acheron once gave you. (In other words you can revive at a rez point when killed).

Free of your mark and empowered by a god there is only one task left. King Conan has requested an audience. Don't disappoint him.
