Field of the Dead Quest Guide

Posted July 15th, 2008 by Savanja

The Field of the Dead Quest Guide

This huge zone contains everything an adventurer could want for the mid-levels 40-50. Like most of the zones in Age of Conan, the questing areas are neatly arranged by level, so you may complete quests in one outpost and then easily move on to the next.

I suggest not diving into Field of the Dead until level 40+. The difficulty level isn't too bad but the majority of the quests here have minimum level requirements. This has the unfortunate side effect of leaving you questless during certain levels if you moved through the available quests too quickly. I started here at level 38 and found very little to do at levels 42-45 except grind out experience because I finished up the lower 40s quests too soon.

This guide will cover all areas of Field of the Dead except the lower portion closest to the Conall's Valley zone. We've already covered the Southwestern Region, now we will get you started on the rest!

If you find any quests that are not included in our Field of the Dead Quest Guide series, please pass them on to me so that I may get them added!

Details
Mini-Map
Reward
A Curious Encounter
Radi
The head on a pike tells you to speak with Leannan the Spirit, and we always do what piked skulls tell us to.
1 Silver, 57 Copper, 56 Tin
Allies of the White Hand
Eacharn
Gather crates from the bandit camp. You'll have to clear a few areas here in order
to get all of the crates.
Bearer of Ill Tidings, The
Eacharn
Scout around the Vanir camps to see if they are working with the White Hand. Where the X marks the spot, you are looking for a chest right next to the tent.
Captives of the White Hand
Diarmad
Return to the camp to the north to free the scouts. They are kept in a stockade that is
heavily watched. Clear up some of the mobs then rescue the scouts by attacking the gate to the stockade.
Death to the Undead
The Spirit of Leannan
Another task from this specter. Kill some of the nasties in Haunted Forest. The werewolves
are down the southern bound path, the undead are pretty much everywhere.
 --
Death to the Vanir
Bodhrann
Kill 30 Vanir from within the Ancient Ruins. This is a group quest and these mobs cannot be easily soloed at this level so be sure to bring friends!
Greater Prey
Ceana
Thin out the werewolf population a bit. Careful of these as they have a long aggro range!
Honored Dead I, The
The Spirit of Leannan
Kill 3 bosses in the Haunted Forest. Each of these guys is a pain. Iogenan teleports
around the immediate area so be sure to clear what you can before you even touch him. Giron fears you a bit, so again, get as many mobs out of the way as possible. Lutran also teleports, and he also seems a bit tougher than the other two. This quest was completely
solable at level 49, but you want to bring friends for ease.
Into the Dark Woods
Lachlan
Collect human remains from the camp beyond the Haunted Forest. Lots of mobs in here and lots of named bosses to deal with. Kill as you go and keep the area cleaned up of respawns while you gather the bones.

Lost Scouts, The
Diarmad
Travel north to check out a camp. You'll need to take out some mobs along the way on the path, but these guys aren't too hard. You'll just need to step up to the outside of the camp, no need to go in very far.
1 Silver, 57 Copper, 56 Tin
Residents of the Haunted Forest
Spirit of Leannan
Scout out the forest. Pretty much just run in there and run out.
1 Silver, 57 Copper, 56 Tin
Torches of Eiglophian, The
Diarmad
Light the torches along the road to Eiglophian. These start far before the quest indicator shows and are all along the road all the way to Eiglophian.
Wolf Hunt
Ceana
Kill Yukagi wolves found to the southwest. These are in tight with the camp, so expect adds.
