Feedback Friday: Changing Crafting

Posted Fri, Jul 18, 2008 by Taea

Today's Feedback Friday for Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa covers the plan of attack for revamping the game's crafting process. Gone will be the days of a required 'crafting mule' after the individual crafting skills are removed. Removeable and reuseable mods are in the works, and recipies will be slimmed down to be more easily utilized for any equipment. These changes will be coming in slow trickles over the next few deployments.

Now, let me make clear from the get-go that the upcoming changes to Crafting are intended to be incremental. We aren't going to publish this as a massive, game-changing update. Instead, we're going to make small changes over a few upcoming publishes. The idea is to ease TR into a new and improved Crafting system rather than throwing it off the deep end.

Years have passed since the cancellation of Tabula Rasa, but some fans still want the game back.
