Essential reading for people starting EVE Online.

For those keeping up at home, our own Cody "Micajah" Bye has been writing up a storm on the newbie experience in EVE Online. You can catch up by reading The Temptation of a Unique MMO, and Riding the Unicycle if you want a refresher. Tagging along is a concise list of "10 Things Every EVE Online Player Should Know" on CrazyKinux's EVE Online blog. Here are a few of the ten:

1. The only place where you are safe in EVE is either docked or offline, otherwise you're mostly fair game.
2. You will eventually get podded. It's nothing personal.
3. So make sure your clone is up to date
4. At any given time, make sure you're always training a skill.
5. EVE is like a sandbox with landmines. Deal with it.

Considered essential reading for us carebears trying to make heads or tails of this type of adventure, you should read the rest at CrazyKinux's Blog.
