Author, Athlete Join Operation Immortality DNA Project

Posted Mon, Aug 18, 2008 by Taea

The Operation Immortality Project sponsored by Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa has two new high profile participants. Former Olympian Scott Johnson will submit his DNA as one of humanity's Most Accomplished Athletes. Also announced was the addition of author Tracy Hickman, of Dragonlance and Ravenloft fame.

Hickman will not only be adding his digitized DNA to the "Immortality Drive," excerpts of his writings will also be included on the storage device Garriott will store on the ISS as part of Operation Immortality. The Immortality Drive is currently in the process of being loaded with information from people all over the world at the OperationImmortality.com website.

At the end of the Killer Breakfast event at this weekend's past GenCon, Tracy talked about the Operation Immortality project to the huge crowd gathered there. GenCon attendees were given the chance to enter a contest sponsored by Hickman to have their DNA added to the database.
