Mark Jacobs Comments on Age of Conan
One of the hottest discussion topics of the week is easily in relation to an Mtv.com blog from Tracy John that posted a discussion with Mythic VP and Warhammer Online Lead; Mark Jacobs. In the blog Jacobs discussed Age of Conan Hyborian Adventures and why he felt the game needed to be delayed a bit longer before launch. This has generated a lot of discussion among the community on the forums. What do you think? Is Mark Jacobs saying what a lot of people are thinking or is he just using the hindsight is 20/20 approach? Read up and let us know.

week.

Ehnrho put this nice little PvP related post together to aid some community members in how to avoid getting ambushed and what to do if you find yourself in such a situation. The post has some useful information with a comical undertone that might aid some of those less familiar with the workings of the PvP environment in surviving the hostile waters a bit longer.
Negative threads have been a dime a dozen since launch so its good to see a positive one turn up every now and then. This thread was started by Anubisrex and asks the question, "Has AoC turned the corner?" By the corner he means an upswing in server population and game improvements. Many in this thread agree, but there are those that feel otherwise. While AoC still has it's share of issues, it has made great progress since launch and will continue to do so with time. We have a big upcoming PvP update which should make PvP activity a bit more interesting in the game and a free content update coming down the road. What is your opinion? Do yo feel AoC is on the upswing or do you think it is on the decline? Read up and tell us your thoughts.
Forced Grouping is exactly why I quit LotRO
I never try to tell anyone how they must play. An MMORPG often provides enough options to keep many players happy. The poster of this thread felt that there was too much forced grouping in AoC. A statement I tend to disagree with. In my opinion there isn't enough, but the statement made here is a bit off in my view. Especially since my trip to level 80 was mostly solo aside from a few times I laded a group or had a friend along. However, most of those 80 levels were solo and I am one who enjoys a good group. What is your opinion? Does AoC force too much grouping, or do you feel as I do nd wish that there was more group focused content?
Mythic's Mark Jacobs Talks Age of Conan
This week Mythic VP and Warhammer Online Lead; Mark Jacobs spoke with Tracy John on Mtv.com about his view on the MMOG genre, why he wanted to see Age of Conan (AoC) succeed, and why he thinks AoC should have been delayed. This has generated a lot of discussion as some of the comments made by Jacobs can be considered controversial. What do you think? Read the blog here and tell us what you think on our forums.
Where Does AoC Need More Content?
That is the question. Where do you think AoC could use more content? Is it the early levels, mid game, elder game, or raid content? Vote in this poll and tell us why. Funcom's US Community Manager; Glen "Famine" Swan dropped in to give us his thoughts. Read up, vote, and tell us yours.
If Age of Conan has 400,000 subscribers is it still popular?
this thread is still drawing a lot of discussion as the topic of server population vs total game population continues on. How is life on your server? Read up and tell us how things look for you and your guild. Do you feel the numbers are low or do you have a healthy amount of players still running around your little corner of Hyboria?
(The Weekly Funny is not reflective of the views of Ten Ton Hammer. They are however of mine.)
There is dumb and then there is down right incompetent. I'm sure we all know the basic rules of firework safety, but as you might have guessed, many states (like mine) have laws in place that prohibit fireworks without a permit or under certain holiday rules. This week's Darwin Award wannabe is one of the reasons such laws exist. There are always a few people that will ruin it for everyone. Well, at least this superstar won't have to worry about passing on his own lack of good sense on to another generation.
Congratulations son, your an only child...
Ten Ton Hammer has rolled out a ton of new content, videos, and guides since launch and the content train is still rolling. In case you missed it here is all the great content from this past week.
