Dwarf Tier 1 Leveling Guide

Mordrin's Anvil

Expecting no less than defeat, the Dwarves of Ekrund still fight against overwhelming odds to defeng against invading Greenskins. Attempting to reclaim a mine of their forefathers they have dug in and are trying to push their enemies back into Mount Bloodhorn. With no regard to their own lives, the Greenskins forces siege both the mine and outposts hoping to crush any Dwarf opposition.

In the most western portion of Ekrund the Dwarves fight for their lives against the Greenskins who assault relentlessly. Deep in the heart of a mine is where you'll begin your adventures and Thorik Redaxe will help things along. The initial quests are simple and involve the usual menial tasks of killing Squigs, gathering ammunition and firing a cannon against invaders. Don't forget to talk with Snorri Oathbrew who will give you a quest to find the Dwarf tome unlock. You can locate it just up the stairs on a bench behind the pillar.

When you've completed a few quests you'll be sent along to what every good Dwarf camp has, a tavern. The Pick and Goggles. This building contains a number of tasks which you can get from Illidial Windweaver, Brewmaster Eisenbjorn, Gunmar Klaurse. Many of them will take you into Goldbrow's Lament which is a series of tunnels full of neutral and aggressive Squigs. You'll be able to find most of your objectives in just one of the tunnels so wandering aimlessly will just slow you down. Next you'll be sent up to the giant cannon Helga to grab a few more assignments which will wrap up this area and push you forward out into the real world.

Exiting through Barren Reach will run you down some ramparts heavily infested with Black Orcs and Goblins. Just outside Bor Axehand will give you a quest to kill some Goblins so take him up on his offer and move forward. When you cross the bridge to Battle of Bitterstone, be sure to talk with Berruna Grimstone who gives an entertaining task which involves pushing exploding barrels over the side.

Battle of Bitterstone

The other side of the bridge will put you at a rally point for a Dwarf Assault on a Greenskin position. Melini Stoneshield will send you in the Chapter 1 Public Quest Area and to look for a corpse nearby. Be sure to talk with Rally Master Rordin Ironmane to see what rewards you have available assuming you want to invest the time maxing out your influence. This area will serve little more than a staging ground to get you interested in the PQ, so once you've wrapped up these quests you can move on to the next area. Head north through a brief cavern and you'll see a large building.

Redhammer Station

All aboard! Welcome to the remnants of a railroad system which has been turned into, that's right, another tavern. This will be your second major quest hub where you'll likely spend at least 2 levels finishing quests. As you walk in the Redhammer Pub, Vel Thorinson sits at the first table and will send you looking for a lost miner. Also speak with Olgrof Redhammer in the back who will send you to find Ranger Grindelson (apparently a lot of people get lost here). Oddly enough in this area there are more quests outside than here in the tavern.

Fimmki Grimgirss has plenty for you to do which will send you to the Durak's Mine area. One troublesome named Black Orc spawns near a fallen tree when you go to look for him. Inside the mountain itself you'll find an aptly named Chapter 2 Public Quest Murgluk's Gits which is rarely populated so your usually much better off with Durak's Gate just to the east of the tavern. If there is no other benefit you are less than 10 seconds from where you died, so it's very easy to get back into the action.

In the odd event you get bored with this one you can move down the railroad tracks to Engine Number Nine which comes with wounded Engineers and a giant. Doing Stage One on all 3 and completed at least Durlak's Gate should have provided you a nice bit of XP and some decent gear to boot. You'll follow the railroad tracks to the very end and look for a mountain path to the left. It's here you'll find the last area in Ekrund.

Grudekeg's Guard Warcamp

At the top of this hill you'll find your first warcamp nestled up next to the RvR area. Norri Korgisson in particular has plenty of quests to give but most of these sends you right into the battlefield. There are at least a levels worth of quests which are usually no more than running to a certain location or picking up an object. You'll find a full battery of Career and Renown Trainers, Merchants, and everything else you could possibly need right here. There is also a Flight Master if you'd like to change areas or take a field trip to Altdorf for a few additional amenities.

From here you have the option of jumping into some PvP action or continuing your journey into Mount Bloodhorn where you'll find even more PvE challenges.

Komar

Your time in Ekrund is done, but the adventure continues as you move through the tunnel into the Greenskin home Mount Bloodhorn. There are no longer pockets of conflict as the war seems to be everywhere you turn here. Stop by Rallymaster Roderick Rorkisson to set your respawn point and check out what you'll receive for the Chapter 3 Public Quest. Thargrim Stonebrew will give you a pair of FedEx quests and be sure to stop inside and see Ralf Snorrison who will send you to at least one PQ area. You'll notice a bridge connecting the Order and Destruction camp and while it might look like fun, you'll waste your time trying to break through. Down the hill you'll find not only the first PQ of the area, but a contested one. Beat Destruction to 100 kills to proceed but once you do, be careful. Bored Destruction players are sneaky and like to find ways to trick you into flagging yourself for RvR.

Up the hill nearby is another PQ and between the two of these you should have no issues grabbing a level or two. When you've completed what Komar has to offer it's time to head east.

Forgotten Hold

Only worth a brief mention, this cave area exsits just to the east between Komar and your next destination called Skalfson's Watch. Be sure to talk with Grulfen Stonebeard just outside but his quest does provide you with a nice reward, not to mention an excuse to go in and slaughter countless spiders. If you are looking for an out of the way area to grind, this is a great spot.

Skalfson's Watch

Your next quest hub is east of the Forgotten Hold sitting near a river and your first stop should of course be with Rallymaster Captain Skalfson to bind yourself. While you might make use of the vendors, trainers, and general safety of the area your primary reason for visiting is the quests. Od Hrodgar will send you to a nearby tower to slay it's occupants, Only worth a brief mention, this cave area exsits just to the east between Komar and your next destination called Skalfson's Watch. This is your last hub in this area but it's quests and Public Quests will extend to most of the eastern half of Mount Bloodhorn.

The bulk of your missions here will come from a Dwarf named Olfgin Steelhand who will send you on at least four tasks in the general area. While some are just delivery, they do open up another series of quests near the Traitor's Watch and Gutrot Mine PQ's.
