After Diablo III was announced a few months ago, many fans of the
previous two iterations of the game thought the gameplay href="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/tid/1659"
target="_blank">looked too
bright and "cartoony." The Ten Ton Hammer staff - most of
whom love
cartoons and D3 separately - decided it was time to take a look at the
game and see exactly what all the fuss was about. Managing Editor Cody
"Micajah" Bye took the time to chop through a few enemies at href="http://www.tentonhammer.com/events/blizzcon08/"

'08 and he has his initial impressions published for you to
view. Enjoy
the bloody goodness!

Although many Diablo fans have uttered their frustration with the
"super rainbow fun time" graphics that they saw in the initial
unveiling, I could immediately feel a dark, foreboding dread as I stood
outside the gates of the village. Those individuals who believed that
Diablo III wouldn't be a dark and sinister game are absolutely wrong.
As I explored the village, there was moment after moment that I
encountered that pointed to the absolute depth of the depravity you'll
find in the world of Sanctuary.
