Richard Garriott Sends Logos Encrypted Message

Posted Thu, Oct 16, 2008 by Medeor

That's not Major Tom, it's General British!

Come in Tokyo and the rest of the world. General British (Richard Garriott) of Tabula Rasa has sent a cryptic message to Earth during his space journey up in the Russian Soyuz orbiting the planet. The message was sent using the "logos" system from TR and translates to:

"Earth is the cradle of humanity but mankind will not be in the cradle forever."

It is a quote by Russian Rocket Scientist Konstantin E. Tsoilkovsky. The translation above is one version, but I believe there is an alternative translation that says something about rocket fuel spent during frivolous space travel is killing the environment. For the pretty logos pictures and more information, stop by the Tabula Rasa forum.

Years have passed since the cancellation of Tabula Rasa, but some fans still want the game back.
