Launching an expansion is one thing, but putting a game on the market
with four other major expansion and one content upgrade all releasing
within two weeks is something else entirely. Yet that's what happened
to EVE
Online
, target="_blank">EQ2, href="http://wow.tentonhammer.com/" target="_blank">World
of Warcraft, target="_blank">Warhammer Online, and href="http://lotro.tentonhammer.com/" target="_blank">Lord
of the Rings Online.
With all of these games large enough to warrant space on Ten Ton
Hammer's community site network of awesomesauce, how can a gamer choose
between one or the other? That's just one of the many questions we
asked LOTRO's executive producer, Jeffrey Steefel, in our exclusive
Mines of Moria post-launch interview. We hope you enjoy it, and when
you finish with the interview, make sure you check out our href="http://lotro.tentonhammer.com/index.php?module=ContentExpress&func=display&ceid=749"

“[Mines
of Moria] went live bright and early on Tuesday morning, just a
little bit after midnight, and there were plenty of people waiting in
line to come on board. Now we’re just working through
whatever issues
there may be and that’s why we have what we call
“mission control”
where there’s a bunch of people in a room monitoring things
until this
launch is squeaky clean,” Steefel said. “The rest
of the team – ninety
percent of our staff – is already working on the next
expansion and the
next Book update.”
