Last
week we took a
look at the recent change to the looting rules of a raid's fourth group
in Vanguard:
Saga of Heroes. It saw quite a bit of discussion and the debate still
continues. This week's poll takes a less controversial approach in
which I give the community a new "What If?" scenario. If you
don't understand a term

Last week's poll certainly got more people riled up than I had
previously expected. While my intention wasn't to make people upset, in
one way I'm actually glad it happened. In the course of the
discussions, there was a good amount of information discovered and for
that, I'd like to thank all the participants!
Since I got a number of people unintentionally upset last week, let's
take a bit
of a different route with tonight's poll. It's been a while since I've
done one of these, so how about another "What if" poll? As per usual,
let me get a disclaimer in here first...
This poll is a complete "What if?" scenario. As usual, the ideas in
this poll are contingent upon the majority of bugs, glitches, CTD's,
and anything else of the sort already having been fixed. With that
being said, let's get to it!
A new developer has been hired - what role do you assign him?
Lore Master
With the vast amount of content within Vanguard, the opportunity for a
deep and rich background is ripe for the taking. Off and on, there have
been people assigned to revise what current lore there is in the game.
As it stands now, the lore is discombobulated and seems tucked away in
the background. If you think the lore of the game would be a great way
to keep players involved with the game, this choice is for you.
Quest Writer/Scripter
Kill 12 rats and bring me 6 widgets found throughout the zone. While
this could technically be called a quest, it's pretty boring. Deep and
involving quests with multiple scripted events during the course of the
quest are not only very fun, but there are also very satisfying. If you
think the game could use more quests of this type, this one's for you.
Diplomacy Lead
The Diplomacy sphere is one particular aspect that makes Vanguard stand
out from any other game on the market today. It's a great concept, and
provides a lot of enjoyment for a number of players, but due to the
realities of the development team's size, there's only so much they can
do. While they have promised to give some love to the diplomats of
Telon, there just hasn't been enough time yet. If you think the
Diplomacy sphere could use some love the most from its own dedicated
developer, this choice is for you.
Raid Content Designer
As each week goes by, more and more players find themselves at the top
of the level mountain. At some point this year it has been said that
the level cap will be increased. In the meantime, a number of players
are hoping for more content. The Ancient Port Warehouse has impressed
quite a few players and if there were a dedicated developer for raid
content, who knows what other magic they could pull off. If you'd like
to see more raid content in the game sooner rather than later, step
right up and choose this option.
Dungeon Designer
Vanguard has some of the most fun dungeons I've ever been privileged
enough to crawl through. Everyone already knows about my current
Trickster's Haven obsession, but that is only one dungeon out of many.
There are quite a few dungeons for early level characters, but the
numbers slowly start to dwindle down as you get higher in levels. If
you want to see a number of dungeons designed for all levels, then
choose this option for your dedicated developer.
Other
As I've done in the past, this is another poll that requires an "Other"
option. The only thing I ask is that if you choose this as your option,
please take the time to let us know what that choice would be.
