The sequel to Aeria's already popular free to play Twelve Sky is in the works and will be released in April of this year. You might be familiar with some of Aeria's other products such as Twelve Sky, Shaiya, Last Chaos, and Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine Online. Promising mounts, trainable pets, and faction based player vs player content, this could very well be a game to watch. The press release below says it all:

Santa Clara, Calif. (February 26, 2009) - Aeria Games announced today that they will be acquiring Twelve Sky 2, the sequel to their already popular martial arts MMORPG series Twelve Sky.

Twelve Sky 2 is a visually stunning, large-scale, multi-faction PvP-based MMORPG. Set in an oriental fantasy themed middle-age China, players can team up and fight against opposing factions for key territories and world dominance. With a new mount system, trainable pets, never-before-seen elite armor and weapons, not to mention a new highly developed skill system, Twelve Sky 2 will be sure to satisfy veteran players and newcomers alike.

Set to be released in April 2009 with the potential to transfer current characters from the original Twelve Sky, Twelve Sky 2 promises an exhilarating gaming experience with the high quality service and support known to Aeria Games.
