Craftsman Tomasi

Jade Dynasty, the highly anticipated martial arts MMORPG and third title from Perfect World Entertainment, is now open to the public! Join the quest for immortality today at http://jd.perfectworld.com/.

One feature that is integral to most MMOs is crafting. Rest assured— Jade Dynasty also has a robust crafting system allowing players to create powerful armor, weapons and trinkets.

To begin the path to crafting, you can first undertake the quest Way of Crafting from Craftsman Tomasi in Sunstream. This will be a mandatory quest that will automatically appear in your quest log, so there will be no need to search for an NPC to activate it.

The Way of Crafting quest will first be available to you at level 12. Craftsman Tomasi will ask you to bring her five copper blocks. These can be found from killing mobs outside of Sunstream. Once you’ve acquired enough copper blocks, return them to Tomasi and you will then be able to craft your own items! 

In Jade Dynasty, unlocking the crafting ability is all you need to be able to craft any item—weapon crafting and armor crafting, for example, are not separate skills like in other MMOs. Players are also not restricted by Faction and can craft any Factions armor, weapon or Esper accessories. 

To craft, you will first need a recipe for the desired item. You can purchase standard ones from any Craftsman in any city. A recipe will also list the required materials for that item. Most crafting materials can be obtained as drops from mobs. If you would prefer, you can also choose to purchase materials from other players, try heading to the Trading Realm for this.

One helpful tip—armor is divided by male and female, so be sure to purchase the correct gendered recipe when crafting armor!

Once you have the recipe and the requisite amount of materials, open up the crafting menu by pressing ‘O’ and confirm to begin crafting the item!

While crafting may seem daunting at first, you will quickly find yourself wanting to craft all of your gear. With the possibility of better starting stats— not to mention cheaper than purchasing gear from NPC vendors— crafting is one of many ways to enjoy your Jade Dynasty experience.
