Wolf Team Publisher Post - Team Conquest

Updated Tue, Aug 04, 2009 by Dalmarus

This week the team at WolfTeam decided to enlighten us to one of their game modes called, Conquest. This is a round-based game mode, where teams have an objective to complete. To win a round, a team must control the largest number of bases when the time limit runs out. Sounds simple enough, but there are different modes within Conquest, each of which will require its own set of tactics to accomplish. Will you unleash the beast or will human form give you the advantage in your quest to reign supreme in the end?

The third variation on Conquest pits Wolves directly against Humans in Wolf Conquest. In this mode the team representing the Wolves cannot become humans at all, and the human team cannot turn into werewolves. The five maps available for Ex- and Wolf Conquest are designed to ensure that strategy becomes the best and surest way to win.

This week the team at WolfTeam decided to enlighten us to one of their game modes called, Destruction. If you've played Counter Strike, you may be familiar with a few of the elements. In one scenario, players on one team must plant a bomb and defend it, while the other attempts to defuse it. Of course, one team can also eliminate the other for victory, but there are a few more elements to WolfTeam's Destruction mode. You can find out all about it in the new "Publisher Post's" the team just sent over.

Unlike DeathMatch, the Destruction game mode isn’t a one shot deal – each game has a set number of rounds that must be won to end the game (3 or 5). The two teams have specific goals to win those rounds, and the team that reaches the set number of round wins first wins the game!  The Red team is tasked with either planting a bomb in one of the two bomb sites or eliminating the Blue Team.  At the opposite end of the struggle, the Blue team must defend their bases by defusing any bombs, or eliminate the Red team before the bomb is planted. Based on just that information, I bet you can guess which side I like best.  I don’t know why, but there is something about a video game explosion that just warms the heart.
