BioWare has always been one for showmanship and they have been known to leave players guessing from time to time. Such is the case with the new mysterious countdown clock that recently turned up on the BioWare main site. BioWare hasn't offered any sort of clues to the clock, but it might be safe to rule out Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age: Origins since they both have recently released new content and Mass Effect 2 has more scheduled for early April. However, both of those game sites do have countdown clocks as well. That leaves their big gun on the shelf, Star Wars: The Old Republic (SW:TOR), but the countdown clock does not appear on the SW:TOR website, leading to believe it may have nothing to do with the mysterious countdown.

As expected, SW:TOR members began speculating and eventually digging into the subject and discovered a launch site for SW:TOR. The clock stands now at just over 4 days and continues counting down ominously. Is it counting down something relating to SW:TOR? Beta perhaps? Another game? Maybe BioWare is just screwing with us. In any case, we'll have to wait and watch the clock to find out what exactly it means.
