eGenesis, the developer behind A Tale in the Desert, has been working on a revamp of the mining system for their MMORPG and they want to give players a chance to get a sneak peak at the new changes for free. Starting on Friday, May 7th, 2010 players will be able to log into the game and play for free during a "Welcome Back Weekend" that will last through Sunday, May 9th, 2010. Players will also have the opportunity to take part in a medley of tournaments and roleplay events during the weekend. If you're interested in giving the game a look you'll need to download the client.

Make sure to pay your rent. Turbine is foreclosing on LOTRO houses that are past due and putting them back on the market.
