Dynamic events were revealed yesterday as one of the major mechanics of Guild Wars 2 storytelling and gameplay. Choices you make in the game will affect the story you're told and the story you're told is not one that's a giant block of text. No, the story is given to you interactively. Many fans following GW2 have shown great joy at this announcement, a few of which voiced their opinions on our forums.

Well today MMORPG.com released an interview with Colin Johanson from ArenaNet going over these changes. One of the reasons I've always been such a fanboy over Guild Wars is that they support both the "solo" and "group" player and this quote:

We’ll never force you to work with others, but we will make it a rewarding and fun experience to do so.

This reflects the opinion that I have strongly that solo players should never be punished but grouping should be encourged. Some MMOs, like World of Warcraft give either equal or preferential treatment to the solo players. Something that was expressed in our WoW newsletter "Why Early Level Grouping in Cataclysm is Necessary." It is refreshing to see ArenaNet share my own opinions.

You can find the interview over at MMORPG.com.
