At gamescom 2010 we learned that the Necromancer is the fourth official profession in Guild Wars 2. That leaves four more professions to be revealed over the coming months, and speculation has already begun in earnest as to which we’ll learn about next. Will it be one of the remaining core professions from the original Guild Wars such as the Mesmer or Monk, or even one introduced in Factions (Assassin or Ritualist) or Nightfall (Dervish or Paragon)? Or do you expect that we’ll see a completely new profession in the Guild Wars universe that plays to the strengths of some of those listed here?
