We're all disappointed when one of our favorite MMOGs ends in a disappointing cancellation, but it can be easy to overlook the number of developers and other employees that are impacted by a company like APB (All Points Bulletin) developer Realtime Worlds when it enters into Administration. According to a recent article by the Herald Scotland, more than 70% of the former staff of the collapsed developer has yet to receive statutory redundancy payments. The article also notes that approximately 120 of the former 210 staff are preparing to pursue an employment tribunal claim to get their final month's salary.

Rashid added: “They should have given everyone a 90-day consultation period. The [60] MyWorld staff were given a 30-day consultation before they were made redundant on August 13. The APB staff were only given an hour [on August 17].”

But the article also notes that a rumor has surfaced that former Realtime Worlds Creative Director Dave Jones might be headed to North Carolina-based Gears of War developer, Epic Games.
