LOTTERIES RETURN TO
TURBINE'S LotRO COMMUNITY SITE

Starting on December 20, href="http://www.tentonhammer.com/lotro">the Lord
of the Rings Online
community site, My.LotRO.com,
brought back the lottery system after a long hiatus. The lotteries have
been missing from My.LotRO since September, when the free-to-play
launch necessitated a redesign of Turbine's community site. Well, the
sleeper has awakened, and the lotteries are back with a vengeance.

Entering the lotteries is a simple matter: head over to href="http://my.lotro.com/home">My.LotRO.com and
sign in with your in-game account name and password. On your home page,
click on the More Widgets button in the upper right corner, just below
the multicolored icon for customizing the colors. Find the Lottery
button in the box (looks like a treasure chest) and click that - this
will add the lottery widget to your home page. Now you can customize
the layout of your home page and put the lottery widget in an
easy-to-find spot. Next, click on the "Click Here!" button, which will
take you to the current lotteries page. Have a look at the current
offerings and tick the boxes for the characters you would like to enter
in those drawings. For the undiscriminating or those pressed for time,
there is a handy Select All box at the very top.

The holiday lotteries have several drawings a day and offer up
the usual fare of level-appropriate consumables, silver, cosmetic
items, jewelry and the like. Additionally, there are non-themed
lotteries offering up mounts, medallions, skirmish marks and even
symbols of Celebrimbor. Players can enter as many lotteries per day as
they wish, but each character can only be entered into each lottery
once per drawing. Check back often.
