NCsoft Closing NA Lineage Servers June 29th

Posted Thu, May 12, 2011 by Martuk

There is an old saying that states, "all good things must come to an end" and that end is coming for North American Lineage players. NCsoft announced on the Lineage website today that it will be shutting down services for the game in North America as of June 29th, 2011, citing that the game is no longer financially viable. As of today, no new accounts can be created and no charges will be made to existing accounts until the game's closure next month. All existing accounts have been reactivated to allow past players one last chance to experience the game before it's gone for good.

NCsoft will be making refunds to qualifying players and have mapped out a series of in-game events that will play out as the game approaches its closure.
