As I mentioned yesterday, PvP GearScore is coming to PlayerScore. I have it semi-working within the addon (Quick scan only) and wanted to take a moment to show it off.
First, in case I didn't mention it, PvP GearScore will be replacing the "PvE Score" within the addon, and on the website. We feel that the PvE Score overlaps too much with Raid Score, and isn't a very valuable tool. As PvE score is primarily built up of how many quests and reputations you have completed, it mostly represents how bored a player is.
With that said, lets take a look at how this new functionality works. I currently have it only working in the Quick-Scan feature, so all my screenshots are mouseover tooltips.
So first off, we have Priestitute here. Now before you throw the first stone, remember he is a hard working priest, selling his body for gold and enchant mats. I'm sure you've sold a lot worse for a few gold...You'll notice that his main GearScore is a very nice 9352. The lack of negative flags, also shows he is one of the few characters on my server who is fully gemmed and enchanted. However, His PvP GearScore is shown as 7660. This is because he doesn't have any PvP gear! So you wouldn't expect him to be very resilient in PvP combat.
As to be expected, Boobs here has a very high PvP GearScore. He is using 16 items of PvP gear. (Size 36 DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD ??). All this PvP Gear hurts his normal GearScore because the PvP Gear won't perform very well in raids and such. You'll also notice he is missing an enchantment, which lowers both of his scores by a bit.
Finally, we have Spellspartan... HOLY CRAP! 10k+ PvP GearScore. This guy is wearing top level PvP Gear and is decked out with weapons to boot. I wouldn't want to pick a fight with this guy! He will mess you up. Hell, look... He is a disciple of giving people cancer! </fear>
