More State of Decay zombie goodness may be headed your way just in time for Halloween! If all goes as planned that’s the idea anyway. State of Decay’s Breakdown DLC has been shipped off to Microsoft for Xbox 360 certification. The new DLC will add new weapons, Hero Characters, the sandbox survival mode option, challenging players to survive on multiple versions of the State of Decay world for as long as possible with each new map move resulting in stronger enemies and more limited supplies.

If all goes as planned, Undead Labs hopes to release the new DLC for the Xbox 360 by the end of October. Sadly, the PC release window is still uncertain and pending keyboard and mouse implementation to its Steam Early Access version, so we may have to wait a bit longer. No price has been set for the Breakdown DLC as of yet so stay tuned. In the meantime, you can learn more about the Breakdown DLC in the latest dev blog.

State of Decay is the first offering from Undead Labs and serves as the introduction to the zombie-filled world that will, if all works out as the studio hopes, will feed into the MMO-style virtual world of Class4.
