Star Trek Online Path to F2P Dev Blog Details Space Skill Revisions

Posted Mon, Nov 07, 2011 by Martuk

Cryptic has been saying that a skill revamp was coming to Star Trek Online and Lead Designer Al Rivera takes the helm in the latest Path to F2P dev blog to tell us all about it. Tribble server has received a large overhaul of space skills. This comes with a free respect and a free respect token for players to explore the new changes with. Rivera fully anticipates plenty of bugs and balance issues so don’t be surprised if you experience some weirdness.

The changes are aimed at simplifying the skill process for Star Trek Online players and better clarifying what each one does. As such, the number of skills has been reduced and the remaining skills have had their costs increased to accommodate the change. Several skills will grant a passive bonus as opposed to simply applying to a few select skills.

A full and detailed list of the latest changes is available in Rivera’s Path to F2P dev blog.
