The Elder Scrolls Online on Creating the Werewolf

Posted Wed, Oct 30, 2013 by Martuk

Players of past games of The Elder Scrolls series have probably experienced the curse of lycanthropy at some point, and they’ll be able to do so again in The Elder Scrolls Online. The latest Creating ESO feature delves into the creation of the werewolf for everything from the look to the mannerism. The sound effects are taken from a combination of wolf, dog and other creatures, including humans. According to the devs, a high focus was put on the transformation animation.

"We want you to be able to launch yourself into a frenzied killing spree and feel the uncontrollable strength granted to you by the transformation. As you can imagine, witnessing a werewolf reveal its true form is disturbing, and it’s certainly an event that will strike fear into those who happen to observe it."

Unlike previous Creating ESO features, this one doesn’t include a video, but it does come with a screenshot of the finished werewolf and two new concept art images, so be sure to give them a look.
