Ancient Civilization Themed Slots Games

To the world of video games, taking inspiration from ancient civilizations and cultures is not a new idea. In fact, if we look at some of the most popular video game series in recent years, it turns out to be quite a common theme.

Whether It’s ancient Rome or Egypt, the video games industry’s usage of ancient history and folklore has inspired countless different video games and sagas.   One of the most well-known games is the Assassin’s Creed series, which encompasses in itself a number of different stories with characters that are played throughout different eras and places in history.  Assassin’s Creed Origins, which takes place in 49 BC in ancient Egypt and, like the rest of the series, focuses on the history of the assassins. Another familiar name is Dante’s Inferno, which takes place in hell itself, or at least, in how the concept of hell is described and viewed through Christian beliefs. The game also loosely follows certain themes from Dante Alighieri’s epic poem, and references a lot of historical events and ancient leaders, such as Cleopatra.

Other well known, and history-inspired video games include strategy games such as the notorious Europa Universalis: Rome, that was set during the time of the Roman Republic and ended with the rise of the Roman empire, and the Sid Meier’s Civilization series, which also represented some very prominent cultures including Egypt, Greece, the Aztecs, Rome and Babylon.

In recent years, ancient civilizations and cultures have been adapted to many different platforms, the most common being online video games, more specifically, online slot games. With the internet becoming a bigger and more important part of our life, it is no surprise that the popularity of online video games has risen. A big part of these video games are online slot games that are based on themes of ancient civilizations, cultures, and even biblical stories.
