It's no secret that the re-imagined sci-fi television series, Battlestar Galactica managed to develop quite a following of loyal fans. This was something Bigpoint hoped to capitalize on when they developed Battlestar Galactica Online and according to a recent interview, they've done just that. Speaking with Gamesindustry.biz, Bigpoint COO Nils-Holger Henning stated that the game was the best start the company has ever had for a product and it looks to potentially be one of their biggest money-makers with potential revenues exceeding €1 million per month.

Henning also notes the challenges of developing a game that stays true to the series and attributes part of the success of the game to the series editor Ronald Moore, who wanted to give his personal approval for all ships and sequences in the game.
