Cody's Handling the
Fallout

While the Ten Ton Hammer team attends numerous conventions every year,
sometimes particular games catch our attention as being particularly
exciting upcoming projects or have elements that ring true in MMOGs.
Both are valid in the case of Fallout 3, an upcoming single player RPG
from Bethesda Softworks. Cody "Micajah" Bye had the opportunity to view
the game in a 45-minute demo at Leipzig GC '07, and he's relayed his
thoughts for you, the readers, to enjoy!

When a game succeeds in staying true to its core components, however,
and perfects those areas before moving on to extraneous material,
that's when MMOG gamers really perk up. While it may not be an MMOG,
Fallout 3 from Bethesda Softworks has the potential to be an absolutely
amazing addition to any RPG fans library of titles. I came in with a
few reservations about where the game could be headed, and I came out
with the biggest grin on my face. The best way to describe Fallout 3
can be summed up in this way:

Fallout 3 is Oblivion on steroids. With nukes.
