As both the MMOG and single-player markets mature, more and more features from one side of that divide are being found on the other. If this trend continues, we could be witnessing the birth of the future of gaming. There's no denying the popularity of this metamorphosis, since it is taking place in every type of game including MMOGs, console racing games, indie projects and downloadable arcade titles.

One of the most interesting line-blurring titles coming soon, is Cryptic Studios' recently-announced Neverwinter. We picked the brain of producer Jack Emmert about the motivation behind the steps they're taking to get away from classic MMO gaming with this title. We'll share his feedback, as well as our own insight into the way the future of the MMOG industry, and gaming in general, could be headed.
