Ten Ton Hammer: Another
interesting feature in MWO is the AI system that allows you to make
your character level up even when you’re not at your
computer. How does this system work? Will the computer level up as
quickly as a human being? What stops players from simply turning this
on and waiting till their max level?

style="font-weight: bold;">Kane: The AI Robot
system serves as very useful tool to provide some ease and convenience
to our players. Basically a player can simply turn on the Robot, and it
can perform many basic functions, such as locking and attacking
monsters, using of different skills, nursing (feeding HP or MP
potions), picking up items, etc.  We also believe that the
introduction of this AI Robot System, actually improves the fairness of
our game, since it completely eliminates the need of using illegal
bots. On the other hand, no matter how intelligent it is, it is still
only a Robot, and it can not function as well as a smart human brain.
Therefore, a smart player who knows how to play, can certain level
faster than the Robot. But when the smart player gets tired from the
mouse clicking, he/she might wish to take a rest and spend some time
chatting with friends, and the AI system will become a very handy tool.

Players can actually
create a "growing weapon" that advances with them throughout the game.

Ten Ton Hammer: What are
the “7 Living Skills”? What do they do in the game
world?

style="font-weight: bold;">Kane: The
“7 Living Skills” in MWO are: herbs, collecting,
lumbering, mining, leather gathering, alchemy, blacksmithing,
tailoring, and craftsmanship. These skills provide another dimension of
game-play for one to individualize his/her character. For example, when
a player has developed his/her living skills to a high-enough level,
he/she might be able to craft specially-enchanted armors.

Ten Ton Hammer: How does
the video chat option work in Magic
World Online
? Why did the developers choose to make it an
option in the first place?

style="font-weight: bold;">Kane: This is a very
innovative and important function of MWO. It was designed to strengthen
instantaneous in-game communication for players' newly established
friendship, and thus to enhance the “community
feeling” of our game.  We also have great respect
for players’   privacy.  If a
player does not wish to be bothered with request of video chatting,
he/she can simply turn off this option. here is an option.

Ten Ton Hammer: What sort
of options do players have when they’re building their own
house? Can they place it anywhere in the game world? Or is there a
restricted area of land where they can build?

style="font-weight: bold;">Kane: No, they can
not place their houses anywhere in game. There is a special area in
game called the Uptown where players can build their houses.. In order
to own a house, a player must first complete some quests to obtain a
real estate certificate, then find a maid and decorate the house with
different furniture. There are many interesting and unique benefits of
owning a house. For example, when one is hurt and returns to his/her
house, his/her HP/MP will recover immediately. A player can also choose
to get married inside his/her own house. After all, cost of living is
very high these days, and owning a house will be a huge statement on
one’s financial success in the MWO world.

Players in MWO can
build houses in the game world.

Ten Ton Hammer: Why
should players join a guild in MWO? How can guilds get those fantastic
moving castles?

style="font-weight: bold;">Kane: A solo hero is
always lonely. MWO is a community game, and what is a better way to
make a lot of friends other than joining a Guild?  In addition
to the weekly State Wars between Dynasty and Empire, there are also
Guild Wars, held on a daily basis.

A Moving Castle is built by the blacksmith in a guild  It is
not an easy task since all the guild members need to work hard together
to collect and contribute a great deal of money and resource to build
one. Due to its high cost and horrific power of it, the function has
not yet been opened to our players in the current version. Watch the
upcoming expansion packs for the release of this feature!

Ten Ton Hammer: Is there
anything else you’d like to tell us about MWO?

style="font-weight: bold;">Kane: In a nutshell,
MWO is a new-concept MMORPG, with some very interesting and unique
features. With its rich content and unique game play, this is a game
that exactly meets the need of those who are busy with school, work, or
childcare, and so forth, and do not have a lot of time to play games.
The game is well-balanced, and fair to all players due to the
elimination of the illegal bots.

Furthermore, the game will be operated on a free-to-play, item-based
mode. Our players can download the game for free, register a free
account, and play the game for free, for life. Buying in-game items
will provide some limited benefits to players, but it is absolutely not
required.
