Our good pal, Niami, over at EQ2Traders.com, has put together an amazing guide to housing, vaults, and vendors for all of you to enjoy. It's very helpful for those of us who aren't experts on the new vending and vault system:

Moving from your low-rent, but quickly cramped inn room may sound like a great idea, but there are a lot of things to consider. Based on your needs you may want to consider:

* Location: Generally, the closer you are to the transport bells, the more likely it is that you will be paying more for less, so convenience vs. cost can be a factor

* Number of rooms: You can place 100 furniture items for every room in your home. (Note that while mansions seem to have 7-ish rooms, they are considered 5-room homes, with a 500-item limit)

* Cost: Cost is broken down into the inital purchase price as well as weekly rent. You can reduce the status portion of any weekly rent by placing status-reducing furniture in your home.

That's some good info! Check out Niami's helpful guide here at EQ2Traders!
