Rohan: Blood Feud
is a fantasy-based, free-to-play massively-multiplayer online game from
YNK Interactive heavily influenced by player-vs-player (PvP) combat and
player interaction. Gamers can select one of six races to play, either
male or female. At level 30, the real PvP opens up, and the focus of
the game shifts from being  player-vs-environment (PvE) to a
PvP.

style="font-style: italic;">Rohan relies
heavily on player interaction, especially PvP battles.

Gamers can download Rohan
directly from the target="_blank">official
website or from a number of mirror sites. The installer
downloads at a little over 1.6GB. Installation is simple. Players just
specify a directory and the installer takes care of the rest. It is
very important to note that style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">Rohan style="font-weight: bold;"> uses nProtect Gameguard hacker
protection. Some people feel such hacker prevention tools
are too invasive. Make the decision for yourself before you install.

Here's a suggestion: Write
down the name of your server.
The game client
suggests a server for you to log into based on current population. When
you come back to play later, the game will not suggest the server you
played on; it will pick a server with the right population again. It
could be easy to forget which server your character is on.

Character Creation

border="1">

At level 30, players
can obtain a mount like this one.

Rohan
features 6 races that also determine a player's class.
The Humans are Knights. Play an Elf to be a Healer. Go Half-Elf if you
want to be an Archer. The Dhan is a race of Assassins. Dragon Fighters
come from the Dekan race. Finally, players who choose Dark Elf get to
be a Mage. Each race has male and female avatars.

The choice of race is also a choice of faction. I spent the
first 10 minutes or so of the tutorial thinking a bunch of people had
somehow named their characters "Dhan." Then I realized that the Dhan
were an opposing faction to my Half-Elf, so I could not even see the
names of the players. To my character, all Dhan are alike--and all of
them are mortal enemies.

Character customization is on the low end of medium for the amount of
options in Rohan.
The better way to distinguish your character from another of the same
race and gender is by the gear you obtain from quests and killing
monsters.

I highly recommend the Rohan
tutorial. It's not that the basic game play is very hard to learn, but
it features a few unusual options that might confuse players. Besides,
the tutorial is done well. Players will get a few kill quests and some
delivery quests. They'll get to learn about items and equipment,
choosing skills, and crafting. Plus, completing the tutorial will net
you a few levels and some items to make your character stronger as you
enter your race's starting area.

There's
more to Rohan.
