At one point in time in gaming history, top-down isometric RPGs ruled
their market segment and attracted hordes of customers to their games.
Titles like Diablo,
Baldur's Gate,
Planescape,
Fallout,
and Dungeon
Siege all used this sort of viewpoint to great success.
However, in
modern MMOGs, the top-down perspective came and went with amazing
rapidity; the only game that has successfully implemented that play
style was Ultima Online. Despite this, K2 Networks hopes to cash in on
that old style of gaming with their current project, an upcoming MMOG
titled Red Stone.
To give you a look at the game, we've posted a few
new screenshots that showcase the gameplay in
style="font-style: italic;">Red Stone. Enjoy!
