Players have been demanding it and Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) believes that it has deprived Mac players of its free-to-play MMORPG, Free Realms, for long enough. Through a new collaboration with TransGaming, Inc., SOE will be bringing Free Realms to Mac players later this fall. The new platform will allow Mac players to join the more than 14 million Free Realms players already enjoying the game on PC.

“There is no denying the overwhelming player demand for Free Realms on the Mac platform, of which we plan to deliver very soon,” said John Smedley, president of SOE. “For the first time ever, SOE is developing synchronous gameplay for Mac and PC players and we are thrilled to tap into TransGaming’s Mac development expertise to bring this functionality to fruition.”
