Undead Labs talked a little about their first game currently codenamed Class3 earlier this month, but that discussion left quite a few questions about their MMOG (now called an “online world game”) codenamed Class4. Recently the team took some time to address a few questions and concerns about the two projects and explain what sets Class3 apart from Class4.

Most notably, the two games are separate even though they do tend to support each other in certain ways. Class3 is a small survival horror game for Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA) that can support up to two players. This is essentially the world that Class4 will be built into but at an earlier stage of the zombie outbreak. Class4 on the other hand will be capable of supporting thousands of players at once in a persistent online world.

As you might expect with Class3 being on XBLA, Undead Labs did confirm that Class4 will also be available on the Xbox 360 but has not announced plans for supporting the PC or Playstation 3. Whether that is as a download through the XBLA or a boxed sale has yet to be announced. Luckily, the team has got plans to create a meaningful economy and crafting in the works for Class4 that should help support the war against the undead. The full Q&A is available via the Undead labs website.
