When we reflect on 2010 in the future, one thing will be abundantly clear; it was a devastating year for many MMOs. With everything ranging from lawsuits to controversy to a rather large number of cancelations, 2010 claimed the reputation and/or life of many games. December 14th will claim another title to be swept aside in the wake of 2010's destruction. Free-to-play title, Valkyrie Sky, will meet its end on that date, joining a growing list of 2010 casualties.
As with any game cancellation, there is a bit of disappointment and a lot of rage from the player base. The canecllation comes after a financial dispute between developer Yolim Communication and its parent company JCE earlier this year, bringing about the demise of yet another game through controversial shenanigans.
Based on recent developments, GameKiss, the publisher of Valkyrie Sky, has decided that the service of Valkyrie Sky can no longer continue in the future. So it is with a heavy heart that we announce the game server of Valkyrie Sky will shut down for the very last time on the closing hours of December 14th 2010 PST.
Thanks to Megaflux for the catch.
