Valorant Developers Destroyed Former CSGO Pros When They Squared Against Each Other

Since the announcement and playable alpha, Valorant has been the talk of every FPS lover in recent weeks. People are questioning whether this will finally be the game to overtake CSGO and become top dog at the top of the PC shooter pile. In the coming weeks before its release many gamers wonder where this will leave CSGO, arguably the most popular game of the decade and whether this will affect the CSGO gambling market and skins betting in future,

A week ago, on April 8th, Valorant’s Riot Games developers were challenged by some of the best FPS streamers in the world on Wednesday the 8th of April. It was in the morning of that day that the announcement came from Valorant, and while informing people about the proposed game, they did not fail to tell the world that the best players in the game across the world are their developers.

The Valorant devs were really keen on ascertaining the veracity of their claim, and that made them gather the most dreaded FPS champions as a team to face their developers. The streamers team involved Erik ‘Fl0m’ Flom, Coby ‘Dizzy’ Meadows, Jaryd ‘Summit1g’ Lazar, Tyler ‘Skadoodle’ Latham and Micheal ‘Shroud’ Grzesiek, while their opposing team was made up of Valorant’s game developers who were out to teach the streamers one or two lessons. The games were hosted by the Rivington ‘Rivington’ Bisland III, the League of Legends commentator and the popular Alex ‘Goldenboy’ Mendez, who is an expert in the e-sports commentary job.

In the tweet, Valorant posited that their team had the best Valorant players before that day, and that it is time to see how they will perform against the world’s best streamers. They called on people to tune in by 7pm and see if their developers can beat the streamers in their own game.

Valorant vs. CS:GO

The initial belief by many people who joined to watch the challenge was that the developers would be overrun by the streamers, even though they are supposed to be better informed about the maps and rudiments of the games which they developed. This belief was brought about by the fact that among the assembled streamers, were top inactive or retired CS:GO players.

Because the games share the same objectives, that popular title from the FPS has always been compared to Valorant. Valorant and CS:GO all come with the ultimate goal of achieving the thirteen round wins first. The best way to achieve this is by taking out all your enemies or by planting the strike in Valorant or the bomb in CS:GO. Here, only the name and nature of the characters differentiate the two games. The playable characters in the CS:GO are bereft of personalized special gifts. But in Valorant, there are a lot of variants of agents, and they make the game more advanced and exciting.

Well, by the night of Wednesday April 8th, the match came underway and everything that people believed and predicted was destroyed. Though the entire 5 streamers have been competing for a very long time and therefore are hugely experienced in it, they had no iota of chance against those developers from Valorant. The streamers could only win ten rounds across three maps. At the end of the game, the result stood at 13-2 on split, 13-5 on haven and 13-3 on the blind map.

Goldenboy the commentator posted the video out there for those who would like to watch the live stream. The streamers also have their own video, which you can find and watch.
