Warcraft 3: Reforged is now available, and the competitive scene is coming

One of the most anticipated remasterings of the decade, Warcraft 3: Reforged is now available from January 28, 2020, on the official Blizzard website.

Blizzard Entertainment took its fans, and the rest of the Internet, by surprise in 2019 when it announced the re-launch of this game. Keep in mind that W3 is for many veterans the best RTS ever created.

Furthermore, this game introduced us fully to the arcane mysteries and the political and social fabric that the universe of Warcraft holds. Besides, its phenomenal success gave way to the creation of World of Warcraft, the biggest of the MMORPG genre.

Warcraft 3 not only shared the adventures in the universe of Azeroth and Draenor. Among other things the Warcraft 3 editor allowed the community to create the original Defense of the Ancients (DotA) the father of all MOBAs. Which in turn was the idea behind giants like League of Legends, Heroes of the Storm and of course, DOTA2.

Not only were the players waiting. According to sites like Esports.net W3R bets will be available soon for Blizzcon 2020, and Blizzard will soon announce in detail the surprises it has in store for us this year.

A journey through memory lane

Do you remember that time when you had to kill all the villagers to stop the plague from spreading? No, not the coronavirus from 3 days ago… During the WC3 missions we saw characters like Arthas, Sylvanas, and Illidan grow.

But most importantly, their heroic, tragic and epic stories created new standards against which to compete. A whole new height of quality against which to measure all the stories from most RPG that followed.

Rejoin as you live once again the most emblematic events that forged the World of Warcraft universe. But with the graphics of 2020, an advanced video engine, with textures of higher quality, new models and particles... And hopefully new material. I mean, it would just be fair to get access to Blood Elves and Naga in normal games this time.

But the excitement doesn’t end here. Remember that we are in 2020 and the esports era is living its highest peak so far.

E-Sports and Warcraft 3 What will happen?

Blizzard already handles the most popular RTS: Starcraft II. This game is situated in a parallel universe where humanity has advanced technology and faces the terrible alien threats that sail the space to devour everything. The wild Zerg.

This single premise catapulted SC into the spotlight, and its gameplay captured thousands of players in what is now considered the biggest RTS esport. Besides, this is one of the games that made esports grow in the beginning.

For its part, Warcraft 3 enjoyed its competitive environment for nearly a decade (and it still exists). But over the years the shrinking community and old graphics put the game aside from major events.

Now, with this remaster, Blizzard promises to hold tournaments and bring to life a new competitive landscape, one that can rise to the world stage as Starcraft does. For this reason, many dreamy fans are already preparing, practicing, to climb to the top and have the opportunity to claim the victory and the fame that it carries.
