This fall was definitely a busy time in the world of MMOGs with not
just one, but three major expansion releases. Arguably the most
anticipated among them was target="_blank">World of Warcraft's
second expansion, Wrath of the Lich King. Donning my winter boots and
coat, I set out to the frozen continent of Northrend, but only after
paying everyone's favorite anti-hero, Arthas a visit.

Given the game's massive popularity, it's not like Blizzard needed to
reinvent the wheel, though in most cases they did manage to help that
wheel turn much more efficiently and feel as though each rotation
serves to drive forward the greater whole. These subtle changes can be
felt in nearly all aspects of gameplay, be it a much improved faction
system, a more streamlined progression to crafting or even with the
greater variety of quests available to players.
