Pay-for-beta has become the rule rather than the exception, but when
does "selling" access to beta move beyond standard industry practice
and into the dimly lit corners of shady business? Recently, an admin
for a large Final Fantasy XIV fansite was called
out for allegedly attempting to sell beta access (with "no guarantee") for
