On the day that Square Enix opened up servers to kick off head start play for the eager gamers whove received their Final Fantasy XIV preorder, the dev company, which has routinely bucked conventional wisdom where FFXIV is concerned, introduced a needlessly complex and convoluted subscription and billing system. Has SE driven another nail into the FFXIV coffin where Western gamers are concerned, or will fans of the franchise do anything to play in Eorzea?
