This past week in the World of Warcraft a lot went on. First up there was the release of Patch 3.3.5, which has been long awaited. Even though Patch 3.3.5 went live this past week, players are still waiting for it some of its content as the Ruby Sanctum will not open up until this week. This patch however added the new and controversial Real-ID communication system and more.

It seems like just the other day that the Recruit-a-Friend system launched, but in fact it has been almost two full years since it went live way back in August of 2008. The Recruit-a-Friend system was one of Blizzard’s more successful ways to help draw more players into World of Warcraft. Now that it has been around for a while though, how has it worked out and how has it affected the game?
